Don’t you want your money?

Did you know, that some people actually don’t want their new-found funds?
If the unclaimed money belongs to a deregistered company, in order to reclaim the funds, that company must be reregistered.
This is done via the court system.
If there are any shareholders or creditors that are due some money, they will need to be paid from the new-found funds.

We recently found a large amount of money being owed to a deregistered company.
Initially, they were excited to hear from us.
Then, after they engaged a solicitor, they realised that they had shareholders to payout. They themselves would not see a single cent of the new-found funds - if fact it would have cost them several thousands of dollars in legal fees.
Under the advice of their solicitor, they did not make their claim.
